The works in each portfolio have been executed primarily from life, perhaps only four using a photo reference. As the world is constantly in motion they were finished in a relatively short time....some in twenty minutes and others in four or five hours.
The time they take to complete is not important except as a reflection of the intense interaction and communication between painter and subject. One is dependent on the other and that dynamic puts energy into a brushstroke, life into a painting.
This collection of over two hundred works is representative of the paintings and drawings that have survived my yearly purges. While most are from the last five years, a few go back a decade. Some have been sold. They are works I currently like.....but some may not survive the next 'cut' as my personal taste and style change.
Enjoy.
